1992/93 

First students start BA and MA programs in economics and management. Graduate School of Business Administration is established.

1993/94 

Accreditation by the State Committee on Higher Education. Some programs in Law are introduced. First university newspaper is issued. First partnership agreement with a foreign university is signed.

1994/95

Opening of the Kuntzevo campus. Establishment of new Departments: College of Economics, College of City Management, Law Faculty and Linguistic Faculty.

1995/96  

First 40 foreign students study at IUM. First scientific publications appear. Post-graduate School of Economics is opened.

1996/97 

Opening of the University Lyceum. Accreditation of the BBA and MBA programs by the European Council for Business Education (ECBE).

1997/98 

First VIP lecture at IUM. First student conference "Socratos Readings". Post-graduate Law School is opened. First University Olympics.

1998/99 

Some programs in Art Management are introduced in the Linguistics Department

1999/2000

Art Management Department is established.

2000/01 

Professional Re-training Department is established. Accreditation of the Journalism Department.

2001/02 

Sergey Krasavchenko is appointed the new Rector. Annual ECBE conference at IUM. IUM gains the lead among 100 best non-state universities in Russia.

2002/03 

City Management Department is established

2003/04 

10 years of cooperation with Americal Councils for International Education. First International Summer School "Russia - Europe relations". First issue of the journal "Notebooks of the International University". A new Sports Centre is opened at the Kuntzevo campus. Regular accreditation of IUM for the next 5 years.

2004/05 

A new University building is opened on September 1, 2004. New representative offices in Sofia (Bulgaria) and Prague (Czech Republic) are established.
